I'm Still Here!

I may, just may, be getting some of my energy back?! I have done nothing but work and sleep this past month and I have never felt so exhausted all of the time. I am excited to have some energy so I can get back to things I love, including blogging!

The baby is still doing great! Keith and I had an appointment on March 10th and everything was good. I go back on April 12th. I am excited for this appointment because I think I will be able to hear the heartbeat a bit better. It was very, very faint the last time. Keith won't be with me this next time. He will be in Wisconsin for a military class for 2 weeks. Then in May he will be in California for 3 weeks for their annual training summer camp. In June though . . . I think we will find out the sex of the baby AND we are getting married!!! I'm so excited and ready for both wonderful things! I am counting down the days till we will be laying on Tybee Island!

After our last appointment Keith and I went to Books A Million and looked at some baby books! :-) We left with a baby name book, that we have yet to look at hehe, and a guitar book. The guitar book is called 100 Kid Songs and he is going to learn the great ones to play for our sweet lil baby! Yay!

And I also now have a teeny weeny little baby bump! I took this picture on Sunday, March 20. I was 10 weeks and 3 days!

Cravings!

Hot Pockets! Yep, I'm craving pepperoni hot pockets! That is pretty much all I want to eat. Well, I also want pepperoni pizza rolls and just regular pepperoni pizza. The other day I also wanted a chocolate shake. Keith is amazing! He has gotten me everything I have been craving! :-) I am lucky to have such a sweet, sweet man. Other than some cravings I am feeling pretty good. I do sleep almost all the time. I have been in bed between 6:30-7:00 every night. I am just completely wore out after working all day. Even after all that sleep, I still wake up yawning! I hope this baby is enjoying all my energy, hehe!

Keith and I are going for our next appointment on this coming Thursday. I am so excited to hear our sweet little angel's heartbeat again!

A Little Scare

This morning I woke up to some blood. It really scared me. In a way I was almost sure it was just spotting and no big deal but on the other hand I was deathly afraid it was the beginning of a miscarriage. I called my Dr's office and they wanted me to come in for an ultrasound. That drive up there (an hour away) was indescribable. I wanted to assure myself it was okay but I was too scared to be okay. The ultrasound was amazing. I got to see my sweet little baby that is growing so well. I could even see his/her heart beating before we listened. That is the BEST sound I have EVER heard!!!

I also met my doctor for the first time and I love him! I'm really happy with my choice and I know it will make this process even better! He said that the baby and everything looks completely normal. Although we are not out of the woods for having a miscarriage just yet, hearing a heartbeat this far long does lower the chances dramatically. I'm one happy girl! Now I can rest this weekend and not worry or stress.

I love my sweet little baby!!!

Can I Take a Nap?

The past week I have been so tired and exhausted. I know that is very normal in the early part of pregnancy. I am barely making it through the day at work without wanting to curl up with the kiddos and take a nap. When I've been getting home I am too scared to take a nap because I really don't think I will wake up before morning! I have had zero energy to do anything in the evening. I haven't blogged in forever, I hope you can forgive me! I'm hoping that I will soon move out of the exhausted stage and have a bit more "get up and go!"

This weekend I was looking at some different baby websites and each website was telling me that I was farther along than I had originally thought. I was under the impression that I was supposed to start counting weeks after the date we had conceived. That put me at 4 weeks. So these websites are telling me I'm 6 weeks and I wanted to know why. This was my answer thanks to babiesonline

"A full term pregnancy lasts 40 weeks (280 days), broken down into 13-week trimesters, starting from the first day of your last menstrual period. That's right, you haven't even conceived in what physicians consider to be the first two weeks of pregnancy. You might as well get used to this idea now: Your first day of pregnancy is the first day of your last menstrual period. Ovulation usually occurs two weeks after that, and most women conceive during that time. So as if thinking you may be growing a human being inside of you isn't confusing enough, you are already two weeks pregnant on the day you conceive!"

Yes, very confusing and surprising for sure! I can't believe that I didn't know this!!! So, if this information is right then I am actually right around 7 weeks. WOW! I have my first Doctors appointment on March 10th. I really wish that it was closer than two weeks. I am really nervous about having a miscarriage. I think I will feel a lot better when I am able to hear the heartbeat and know that sweet little baby is okay! If you don't mind, please keep the baby and I in your prayers!

Surprise!!!

Wednesday, February 16, 2011
4:45 AM

I had just woken up from a very sleepless night. I was about 10 days "late" and had decided to take a pregnancy test just to ease my mind. I knew I wasn't pregnant, I was just late. My body often pulls these little stunts so I really, really did not think I was pregnant. Well. . . . the first test popped up the word PREGNANT so fast I couldn't believe it and I just knew it was faulty. So I got another test out of a different box, different brand. And what do you know, two pinks lines = PREGNANT.

SURPRISE!!!

I immediately woke Keith up and told him. He was seriously asleep. He was rubbing my arm and he asked me why I was crying. I was shocked, scared, happy, scared, and shocked! I let him go back to sleep because I seriously needed my Momma. She was sooooo excited and she is going to be an amazing Grandma! I also told two of my best friends but that was it. I was not ready to tell anyone else yet. I got ready and went to school but yes, all I could think about was that I was having a baby!!!

I really needed my doctor to tell me I was. So I made an appointment for right after school and sure enough, their test had the same results. So now I really know I'm pregnant. But I don't feel pregnant. It's such a weird feeling to have. I mean, I know that I am but I really don't know that I am. I can't see it, hear it, feel it, or anything. I honestly am afraid that I will lose it and not even know. It's crazy I know but all these emotions are going through my head. I felt so overwhelmed.

Keith is beyond excited!!! It calms me and brings out my excitement when talking to him. He is already looking for me a new vehicle. He is making other plans and talking about everything. It is so great to hear him so happy! He is thrilled at the thought of being a Dad! It's so neat! This baby is going to be so loved by so many!!!

Before I went to bed I called my brother, my grandma, and my aunt. My brother was in about as much shock as I was and kept asking me if I was joking. My grandma is SO happy and excited! She has been ready to be a Great Grandma! And my Aunt, well she guessed it right off before I could even tell her! :-) She did the exact same thing when I called to tell her I was engaged. I tickles me pink to hear my family so excited! Keith has began telling his family and will finish spreading the news today! I plan on telling my co-workers today as well!

Wow! I'm having a baby! I'm going to be a Mom! I can barely wrap my mind around this! Even through all of the shock and nervousness, I'm so excited! This is going to be amazing. My life has changed forever!
