Creek Fun

5 whole days with my best friend is like a dream come true! We normally only get one weekend at a time. Parker and I loaded up {and I do mean loaded up} the SUV and headed out of town! 

The first day we got there we did a lot of visiting and playing! That night after dinner we had an amazing treat, Krispy Kreme!!! 

The next day we visited a park that has a creek running through it to play in. Parker absolutely loved this! He kept picking up rocks to throw them back in!

 This was a firetruck play gym! He was so happy!

He Needed A Slide

Parker just adores being outside! 

We are suckers for getting him more outside toys so it will be no surprise to you that when we saw this cute slide at walmart, we just had to get it!

He also got a sprinkler and a pool for the summer heat! I can't wait to get pictures of him playing in them!

New Words: Yogurt (yoyo) and jello. You repeat everything we say! 

You have so many words in your vocabulary! 

You now have 12 teeth

You love to play outside on all your toys! You have a truck, truck pit-stop shop, slide, tricycle, sprinkler, shovel/pail, bubbles, balls, and a swing. And you love picking up sticks!

You make sounds for these animals: puppy, kitty cat, lion, and owl

Parker, you are such a joy in our lives! You are always making us laugh!

18 Months

 26 lbs and 32 & 1/2 in tall!

 You love this new spring weather and playing outside! You want to go out every day! 

You have 9 teeth now: 6 on top and 3 on bottom

 Favorite Toys: Trucks! and anything you can ride on. (bike, choo choo, and big semi truck)

 Favorite Foods: Bananas (still!), peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, goldfish (fishies), and nilla wafers 

You like to make animal sounds with Nana! Your favorites are woof woof, roar, and meow!

 Your new favorite outside toy is bubbles! And you want to do it all by yourself!

You love to wear hats!

 You are starting to learn so many words and you love to repeat what we say! Daddy taught you to say bootay!

You are learning to eat with a spoon by yourself and you love being so independent!

You are throwing quite the fit when you don't get your way: stomping, hitting the ground with your hands, and throwing things.

 You can play/entertain yourself for what seems like forever! 

You tell us when you go potty & poo and you are ready for your diaper to be changed. 

 You had your very first Easter Egg Hunts! 

Your favorite place to sit is still up in the living room windowsill above the couch!

Parker,

 You have become a little toddler that is so independent and playful. You love your trucks more than anything (other than mommy and daddy of course). You know what you want to play, eat, drink and you make sure and tell us what it is. You make us laugh all the time! You are such a silly boy! I can't believe how much you grow and learn every day!

A Day of Spring

We had a beautiful day on Monday with good temps (62 degrees) and sunshine! 

The wind has still been blowing {like blow you over type of wind} so Parker is still rocking his Mickey hat!

 I just LOVE this one so much! 

 Since trucks are his most favorite thing . . . I am almost positive he is watching for passing trucks!

 First time to ride on his tricycle outside!

 And he is a fan I do believe! :-) That smile, does it get any cuter?!

 Such an explorer. Always looking for sticks and pine needles!

You should have heard the squeal of delight when he came across this fallen branch! That's one big stick!

This angel of mine makes my life perfect!

Blogging Break

Parker had croup.

I've had a week long headache. Every. Single. Day

Those two things equaled an unexpected blogging break. (I did manage to get our Thanksgiving post up)

P is better and my headache is finally weakening. 

Over the past few weeks we have played outside and at the park a lot. Parker has developed a love for being outside so we try to take him out whenever the weather is nice enough!

We also got our Christmas tree put up! The lil man is just smitten with the tree! He talks to it, stares at it, plays with the ornaments and the branches, plays beside it, and even lays right beside it. So precious!

And I'm thankful for Instagram! It captures the special moments when the camera is too far away!
