Happy Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving week was busy but so amazing! 

I had school on Monday and Tuesday where my precious Kindergartners performed their Thanksgiving Program twice! Once for our school on Monday and once for their families on Tuesday. Also, we had a giant Thanksgiving Dessert with our families Tuesday afternoon. I am blessed beyond words with my class and their families who are so involved and excited to help and be a part of our class!!! 

Wednesday we had a Thanksgiving lunch at my mother and father in laws house with my sister in law and her family. I am quite lucky that my best friend became my sister in law when I married my hubby! Lenette, Tim, C and B stayed at our house Wednesday night and it was such a great evening! We watched Santa Clause *The Movie* it's a classic, not the Tim Allen one. 

Thursday, we got up, cooked, and prepared for our great Thanksgiving! We had my Mom, her hubby Tim, my brother Justin, Lenette, her hubby Tim, their kiddos C and B, my mother and father in law Linda and Ed, and Keith, Parker, and myself! :-) It was a full house and it filled my heart! It was a perfect dinner and I couldn't have asked for a better day!

Summer Break = Blogging Break

Summer break is every teacher's favorite time! This time home with my family is priceless!!! 

Every year I'm shocked at how fast this time goes and this year is no different. 

Do I really start back on Monday?!?!

It's been a great summer, full of family fun! Even a week long visit with my great friend from Kuwait directly followed by an awesome 4 days with my bestie and her kiddos!

Parker is now 21 months old and growing like crazy! I am doing a combo 20/21 month post next!

I'm looking forward to the upcoming school year! Our new group of Kindergartners come for Kinder Camp next week!

Hopefully my blogging habits will get better when I'm back on a schedule!

Mother's Day & 2 Birthdays

For Mother's Day, we took my Mom and Grandma out to breakfast at Bob Evan's. It was very good and they even gave us Momma's a carnation! Parker was so funny with the flowers!

After our special breakfast, we had a birthday party to attend. Our little nephew turned 2!

AND . . . Yesterday was also the birthday of my BFF/SIL! Lenette is my amazingly awesome best friend who just so happened to end up being my sister in law! I feel so blessed/lucky to have her in my life! I got her a donut from dunkin donuts with a candle that sings the happy birthday song! It was perfect! I think she knows how much she means to me!

She was so happy she took a picture of it! I love you best friend! 

When we got home that afternoon, Hubby hand washed my Envoy and we played outside with Parker. It was truly a perfect day.

 I thank God everyday for picking me to be Parker's Mommy! 

The Start of Our Spring Break

For starters: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This weekend was the beginning of Spring Break! Yay! And being with family {best friend} is the perfect way to start! 

Who is so lucky that their best friend ends up being their Sister in Law?! We are!!!

Tim and Lenette stayed with us Saturday night and we stayed up really late watching the UFC fights. 

So. Many. Funny. Memories! 

Sunday they went and got their kiddos from Grandmas and we all hung out and ate at our house. We had a very packed house with Lenette's family, Grandma and Pop Pop, Kevin (Keith's twin), and the three of us of course! 

I adore watching C and B play with Parker. We have always been so close to those babies as they have grown into amazing kiddos! And to see them love my little one and be a part of his life, it's too good for words. <3

A Perfectly, Great Weeked

Hubby had drill this past weekend so we missed him but we did a lot of fun things!

Friday night we had a birthday dinner for Keith's oldest nephew! We had a nice dinner and then cupcakes and visiting afterwards. There was a lot of playing with the babies and with my C girl & B boy!! Parker and Noah are just 5 months apart!

Saturday morning, I took Parker to watch the Veterans Parade. He really likes parades but the fire trucks are just a bit too loud for him. 

Saturday afternoon we did a lot of playing and that evening we had our Fall Carnival at school. Since Keith wasn't home from drill, Parker went with me. It was a successful night!

 Early Sunday morning we headed to my Momma's for the day! She gave Parker his Halloween goodies!! 

He got some marshmallows, teddy grahams, and animal crackers!

That afternoon I met my bestie at the mall for some shopping fun! We had a blast and are very much looking forward to next time - TWILIGHT! Yep, I am super excited!!!

One Visit a Year

It's never enough time. Only 3 days with one of my best friends. 

However, I feel so happy that she was able to make a stop here at my house for those 3 great days! 

This was her first time to meet Parker and within an hour, he loved her! I knew he would! It was a whirlwind few days and they were filled with shopping, laughing, catching up, and a bit more laughing. Even though we haven't seen each other in a year, we are able to pick up exactly where we left off. That's what having a great friend is all about!
